Behind the Camera: Golden Light Over the Bay
This image was captured during one of those perfect Bay Area afternoons when the light wraps the city in soft gold. I drove up to the Marin Headlands and hiked a short trail just in time for the clouds to part and the sun to spill over San Francisco.
The view from up there always humbles me. The red line of the bridge cuts cleanly across the frame, connecting past and present—nature and city. Alcatraz floats in the distance, and the downtown skyline catches every glint of light.
I took a few minutes to frame it just right: balanced layers, crisp color, and enough breathing space to let the whole scene speak for itself. Sometimes, timing is everything. This was one of those days.
