Honourable Mention — Geometry, PERSPA Awards 2026

Barcelona Arches looks down a covered passageway lined with stone columns and hanging lanterns. A succession of arches draws the eye toward the light at the far end, while warm stone tones and deep shadows emphasize the depth of the scene.

Behind the Camera — Barcelona Arches

I took this photograph during a trip back to Barcelona to visit my family. It’s my hometown, a city I love, and photographing it is part of how I enjoy being back.

Here, I framed the view down the passage, where the stone columns, arches, and hanging lanterns repeat into the distance. I liked the warm light further along the corridor and the small details around it — the plants, the paving, and the texture of the stone.
